Job summary

Nationwide’s Armed Protective Services Officers provide a safe, secure environment for our workforce and visitors across Nationwide owned buildings and campuses. You will patrol facilities, respond to incidents, and assist associates with protective services and safety-related issues.

Responsibilities include armed patrols, reporting, investigations, and enforcing life-safety policies. Requires firearm/taser qualifications, background checks, and fitness assessments.

Qualifications

• Education: High school degree required; bachelor/technical degree preferred.
• Experience: Typically 1–3 years in protective services, law enforcement, or military.
• Licenses: Valid driver’s license; must pass background, psych, fitness, and firearms qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations and assist with safety procedures.
• Patrol buildings and campuses on foot, bike, or car to ensure safety.
• Prepare initial loss/incident reports and assist with investigations.
• Intervene in situations posing imminent risk to people or property.
• Enforce protective services and life-safety policies.
