Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an Armed Protective Services Officer to help maintain a secure environment across Nationwide facilities and campuses. You will perform armed patrols, respond to incidents, and enforce protective services policies while coordinating with safety and security teams.

Qualifications

• High school degree required; bachelor/technical school preferred.
• Typically 1–3 years of protective services experience, law enforcement or military background desired.
• Must meet training standards and maintain annual firearm licensure and/or taser qualifications.
• Criminal background check and pre-employment psychological assessment required.
• Must pass annual fitness assessment and physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency situations and assists with emergency procedures.
• Patrols buildings and campuses by foot, bike, or car to provide protective services.
• Prepare and preserve incident reports and assist investigations.
• Intervenes in situations posing risk of harm and may employ force as needed.
• Provide protective services training and escort associates to facilities.
