Job summary

Westfield-Insurance is seeking a part-time Police Security Officer to provide armed, uniformed law enforcement and security services across company properties in Ohio. The role requires going on second and third shifts, and holiday/weekend availability to ensure safety and security.

Responsibilities include monitoring alarms, conducting patrols, managing access and visitor systems, and coordinating with external law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or commensurate experience.
• Valid driver's license and driving record conforms to company standards.
• Ohio Peace Officer Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides armed, uniformed law enforcement and security services to ensure safety and security for employees, contractors, consultants, and guests at company properties.
• Maintains compliance with law enforcement and security regulations and interfaces with outside law enforcement agencies.
• Implements comprehensive security strategies gathering security intelligence and implementing preventative measures.
• Assists in conducting regular and highly visible security checks and patrols of company grounds and facilities, adhering to SOPs.
• Implements emergency plans for protection of people and property and responds to emergency calls and contacts authorities for assistance.
• Performs various requests including employee escorts, jump-starts, vehicle lockouts, and hospitality-related assistance.
• Maintains duty logs, incident reports, and records in secure computer-based systems.
• Monitors employee access and fire alarm systems, distinguishing emergency from non-emergency situations.
• Conducts regular inspections of portable extinguishers, AEDs, exit lights, and safety equipment, reporting issues.
