Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company is seeking an Armed Protective Services Officer to patrol Nationwide facilities and campuses, respond to emergencies, and enforce safety policies. This role requires vigilance, clear communication, and the ability to manage high-stress situations.

You will conduct armed patrols, investigate incidents, and prepare reports while supporting life safety procedures. Relevant training and background checks are required; overtime and non-standard hours may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor or technical degree preferred.
• Experience in protective services or law enforcement desired.
• Ability to obtain firearm and taser qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed patrols of Nationwide facilities and campuses.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents, and report findings.
• Assist investigations, prepare incident reports and preserve evidence.
• Testify in court and support protective services training as needed.
• Enforce safety policies and escort associates as required.
• Work overtime and non-standard hours as business needs require.
