Job summary

Allied Universal, Ashburn, VA, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Monitoring) to protect students, staff and visitors at a government educational location. You will monitor, patrol, and report incidents while maintaining a visible, professional presence.

The role offers part-time schedules with a pay rate of $18.87 per hour and opportunities to engage through the Claim a Shift platform, with a focus on customer service and safety in a campus environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and administrators by carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel and responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with access control and reporting unusual conditions.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents and security-related activities in accordance with requirements.
