Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Ashburn, VA to protect students, staff, and visitors while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents with professionalism and clear communication.

The role emphasizes customer service, adherence to site policies, and collaboration with school personnel and emergency responders.

Qualifications

CPR certification preferred
Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred
Customer service experience preferred
Guard card or license preferred
Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
High school diploma or equivalent
Background check required by law
Drug screen required where permitted by law
Licensing requirements per state/local regulations
Driver's license required only for driving positions

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disruptions, medical situations, and other critical events calmly and professionally.
Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control, report suspicious conditions.
Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents and actions, and communicate with Allied Universal leadership.
