Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen per law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public while carrying out armed security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeters, access points, and parking areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and be aware of inmate movement and facility operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations following procedures and coordinating with responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and logs of patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities.
