Job summary

Allied Universal in Butner, NC is seeking a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver to protect government-related facilities and staff. The role requires patrolling, access control, and professional customer service in a correctional setting.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $21.50 per hour and a schedule covering day and night shifts across a rotating week. A valid driver’s license is required and an armed guard card/license is preferred. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services to staff, residents, visitors, and contractors by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and escalations.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and entry points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity or violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate patrol and incident reports for site personnel and responders.
