Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license required per policy.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a government corrections environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeters, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and hazardous conditions to designated personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records in accordance with site procedures and applicable regulations.
