Job summary

OhioHealth in Elizabethtown, KY seeks an armed security officer to protect patients, visitors, staff and assets across hospital sites. You will patrol grounds, respond to incidents, and assist with investigations while rotating to multiple care sites during training.

After training, you’ll be assigned based on department needs. Expect to support the Emergency Department and Behavioral Health Unit as needed.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association).
• Driver’s License (DL) and Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed safety and security services at hospital sites and grounds.
• Observe and document incidents; report to management and correct breaches.
• Assist with investigations of criminal and administrative incidents.
• Serve as first responder to emergencies and enforce hospital policies.
