Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking an Armed Protective Services Officer for a 36-hour per week shift in Van Wert. You will provide armed security across hospital facilities, observe and report incidents, and support emergency response while enforcing hospital security policies.

Training includes multi-site exposure with rotation during the onboarding period. Requirements include high school diploma, BLS, driver’s license, and OPOTC/Peace Officer Training certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification.
• Driver's license required.
• OPOTC Peace Officer Training/Certification required or basic training.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed safety and security across hospital and grounds.
• Observe, report and document incidents; investigate security and safety breaches.
• Respond to emergencies as a first responder and enforce hospital policies.
• Assist in access control and monitoring of drugs in hospital pharmacies.
