Job summary

OhioHealth Protective Services is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect patients, visitors and staff across the hospital and off-campus sites. You will operate weapons scanning equipment, enforce policies, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Your role requires valid BLS, a valid driver's license, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to respond calmly to emergencies, evacuations, and incident documentation.

Qualifications

• High School or GED (Required).
• BLS Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association).
• Driver’s license (DMV).
• BLS certified; computer skills and MSDS knowledge; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain weapons scanning equipment and enforce facility policies.
• Monitor CCTV and intervene in confrontations; document incidents.
• Support safety procedures, alarm response, evacuation, and disaster plans.
