Job summary

Walden Security is actively recruiting experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract. This role focuses on entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, and escort duties to ensure court security and safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least three years as a certified law enforcement officer or equivalent; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• English language skills: read, write, speak, understand English.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Arrest authority required; 3+ years as a certified law enforcement officer or military equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and operate screening equipment to detect weapons and contraband.
• Roaming patrol of court facilities and grounds.
• Guard stationary posts including courtrooms, judges’ chambers, and jury rooms.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel as needed.
• Direct traffic and manage access at facility properties.
• Enforce federal law and safety procedures; detain unauthorized individuals when necessary.
• Prepare reports on contract performance, incidents, accidents, or threats.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices prior to proceedings.
• Maintain order within courtrooms and enforce rules and judicial orders.
