Job summary

Walden Security is recruiting experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract. Officers will enforce federal law and protect court personnel, jurors, and the public while performing access control and security screening.

Responsibilities include roving patrols, stationary post monitoring (CCTV and alarms), escort duties for judges and court staff, traffic control on facility premises, and timely report preparation.

Qualifications

• Must have reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Must understand and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and security screening to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items.
• Roaming patrols of court facilities and grounds.
• Monitor stationary posts including CCTV and duress alarm systems.
• Provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and others when directed.
• Direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties as needed.
• Enforce federal law and protect government employees, property, and the public.
• Prepare reports on contract performance issues and incidents.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect courtrooms prior to proceedings.
• Preserve order and enforce courtroom rules and judicial orders.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Three (3) years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or military equivalency
