Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers/Special Security Officers to provide armed security for courthouses under the USMS contract in Washington, DC. A valid law enforcement background and self-contained authority are required, with prohibitions for those without prior law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, courtroom security, escort duties, and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control, operate security screening equipment and detect prohibited items.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand guard at stationary posts including courtrooms and judge chambers.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel when directed.
• Direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties.
• Enforce federal law and detain individuals as needed.
• Prepare reports on incidents and contract performance.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices.
