Job summary

Walden Security is seeking highly professional, prior law enforcement officers for the Court Security Officer (CSO) position in Washington, DC. The role requires 3 years of verifiable experience with a recognized law enforcement agency and involves providing armed security at court facilities.

Essential duties include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary post assignments, escorted duties, and traffic/pedestrian control.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record for the past five years; must have completed or graduated from certified law enforcement training academy.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control: operate security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items.
• Perform roving patrol: patrol facilities and grounds according to post orders.
• Perform stationary post assignments: monitor CCTV, duress alarms, and security equipment.
• Perform escort duties: provide armed escort services for officials, personnel, and designated individuals.
• Perform garage parking and pedestrian control: direct traffic and manage lights per post orders and SOPs.
• Enforce federal law during duties: detain unauthorized entrants to government property or court proceedings.
