Job summary

Lawrence Technological University is seeking an Armed Campus Safety Officer (Full Time) to protect students, faculty, staff and visitors. The role includes patrolling, responding to emergencies, providing escorts, and maintaining security systems on campus.

The position requires sworn law enforcement experience, background checks, and the ability to use force when necessary. Flexible schedules and overtime may be required to support campus safety 24/7.

Qualifications

• Must have prior sworn law enforcement experience.
• Background investigation including criminal history and driving record is required.
• Ability to act independently with sound judgement in emergencies.
• Understanding Use of Force continuum and potential firearm discharge.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first responder to emergencies to protect life and property.
• Patrol campus on foot and by vehicle.
• Provide escorts for students, staff, and faculty when requested.
• Maintain security systems and report safety concerns.
• Complete detailed incident reports with accuracy.
