Job summary

Ross Dress for Less in Louisville, KY is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and assist the Store Manager with daily operations. You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, and ensure a clean, well-presented selling floor.

You will uphold safety, customer service, and loss-prevention standards while coaching team members. The role requires strong communication, retail supervision experience, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Lead front end supervision and expedite customer lines.
• Manage stockroom organization and back stock processes.
• Supervise payroll administration and scheduling where assigned.
