Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and general operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment, while executing company processes.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, delivering strong customer service, upholding brand standards, and managing merchandising, stockroom, and front-end procedures. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, secure, and inviting store environments.
• Open/close store and supervise associates as needed.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and clean stores.
• Lead front-end operations, cashier training, and shortage control.
• Coordinate stockroom organization, replenishment, and back-stock security.
• Monitor compliance with company policies and loss prevention.
