Job summary

Ross Dress for Less is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and assist the Manager on Duty with daily operations. You will supervise associates, ensure safe, welcoming shopping environments, and uphold merchandising standards.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, prior supervisory or customer service experience, and familiarity with POS systems. Flexibility for evenings/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and professional demeanor.
• Fluency in English and strong customer service orientation.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for transactions.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store according to schedule and supervise associates on duty.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and merchandised sales floor.
• Ensure safety and security procedures are followed at all times.
• Assist with front-end operations, including barcode scanning and checkout flow.
• Train and coach associates on store policies and loss prevention.
• Oversee stockrooms and back stock, processing receipts and merchandised items.
• Support store leadership in administrative duties and payroll tasks as assigned.
