Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to join Store Leadership in Lawrenceville, GA. You will oversee a specific store area, open/close the store, supervise Associates and ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment while acting as Manager on Duty.

You will drive merchandising standards, maintain clean spaces, support loss prevention, and supervise front-end operations, cashier training, and administrative duties to keep the store efficient and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store; supervise associates and manage operations as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment and correct unsafe conditions.
• Protect store assets and cashier areas; monitor EAS and cash office security.
• Provide courteous customer service and recognize staff.
• Represent the Ross brand; enforce dress code and maintain clean, merchandised areas.
• Perform general merchandising duties: restocking, receiving, back stock, signing.
• Coordinate front-end operations; train cashiers and manage breaks.
• Loss prevention duties and Code 50 inspections.
• Administrative duties: payroll, scheduling, refunds approvals.
