Job summary

Ross Stores in Alpharetta, GA is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist in overall store operations as Manager on Duty. You will open/close, supervise associates, ensure merchandise presentation, safety, and a friendly shopping environment.

Responsibilities include enforcing company policies, supervising front-end and stockroom activities, and supporting loss prevention while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety and security on the sales floor and in the store.
• Open and close the store as needed, supervise associates and ensure a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Execute company policies and supervise front-end operations, stockroom, and backroom activities.
• Support loss prevention efforts and ensure compliance with procedures.
