HDR, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking an Area Safety Manager to lead SH&E programs across projects. You will develop site safety plans, review Job Hazard Analyses, and train field teams while ensuring compliance with OSHA/ANSI standards.

The role requires at least 3 years in occupational health and safety, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 25%. HDR employee‑owners collaborate to advance safety culture and protect communities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in occupational health/safety or related field
• Experience with OSHA & ANSI standards
• Instruct and facilitate SH&E training courses
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Strong written and oral communication; teamwork-focused

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and supporting implementation of site-specific safety plans consistent with HDR’s SH&E program and assisting project managers and field teams with Job Hazard Analysis.
• Train and assist project managers on subconsultant safety requirements and review their plans and documentation.
• Support project development teams in reviewing pursuits to identify, plan for, and mitigate SH&E related risk.
• Understand company requirements for safety program implementation and educate and support local safety coordinators in meeting these requirements.
• Demonstrate proficiency in SH&E auditing, inspection, and incident investigation protocols in field and office settings.
• Facilitate and deliver SH&E training, including permit-required confined spaces, control of hazardous energy, fall protection, and first aid/CPR.
• Display working knowledge of applicable US Federal (OSHA, DoD) and state rules and industry standards.
• Support area leadership in strengthening SH&E culture initiatives.
• Report leading and lagging safety performance metrics to area operations and management.
• Office in St. Louis Park, MN and travel up to 25% within the area.
• Perform other duties as needed.
