Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an Area Safety Manager in Minnesota to lead SH&E initiatives across projects and field teams.

You will prepare site safety plans, review subconsultant safety documents, and support risk mitigation while maintaining compliance with OSHA/ANSI standards. The role requires at least 3 years in occupational health/safety (or equivalent), proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong training and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years technical experience or educational equivalent in occupational health/safety.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of OSHA & ANSI regulatory standards.
• Ability to instruct and facilitate Safety, Health and Environmental training courses.
• Team-oriented with exceptional written and oral skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and support implementation of site-specific SH&E plans.
• Train and assist project managers on safety requirements; review plans and docs.
• Support development teams in pursuing SH&E risk identification and mitigation.
• Educate and support local safety coordinators in SH&E requirements.
• Audit, inspect, and investigate SH&E incidents in field and office.
• Deliver SH&E training including permit-required spaces, lockout/tagout, fall protection, first aid/CPR.
