HDR, Inc. seeks an Area Safety Manager to lead safety programs across multiple service lines. You will develop site safety plans, support field teams, and ensure SH&E compliance with OSHA/ANSI standards while promoting HDR’s employee-owned culture.

The role requires delivering training, auditing, and incident investigations, with frequent travel to project sites in the region. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to success in this position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in health/safety field or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI standards.
• Ability to instruct SH&E training courses.
• Team-oriented with strong written and oral skills.
• Commitment to employee-owned culture and values.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate proficiency in preparing and supporting site safety plans aligned with HDR’s SH&E program.
• Assist project teams in reviewing pursuits to identify SH&E risks.
• Educate and support local safety coordinators in meeting requirements.
• Perform SH&E auditing, inspection, and incident investigation in field and office settings.
• Deliver SH&E training including confined spaces, lockout/tagout, fall protection, and first aid/CPR.
• Ensure compliance with applicable US Federal/state rules and industry standards.
• Participate in area leadership to support culture initiatives.
• Report leading and lagging safety metrics to area operations and business group management.
• Travel regularly within the assigned geographic area to support projects and offices.
• Perform other duties as needed.
