Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an Area Service Sales Leader to translate North America service strategy into local market action across the North America Area and support HVAC service sales execution that drives profitable growth.

You will partner with Area and market leaders to improve service volume, recurring revenue, retention, and margin performance, while coaching leaders and aligning teams across the Area.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a technical field.
• Typically 10+ years in HVAC, building systems, technical services, or multi-market B2B sales.
• Proven success in service sales growth, recurring revenue, and forecasting accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC service offerings, contracts, and CRM-enabled sales management.
• Ability to lead through influence without direct reporting authority in a matrixed org.

Responsibilities

• Translate service growth strategy into clear market priorities and performance expectations.
• Deliver the Area operating plan for service volume, revenue, margin, and retention.
• Ensure market-level execution with role clarity, standard work, and defined sales motions.
• Diagnose gaps by market, segment, seller, offering, and funnel stage; apply corrective actions.
• Lead a consistent weekly, monthly, and quarterly service sales cadence.
• Drive pipeline sufficiency by line of business and improve opportunity quality and CRM adoption.
• Strengthen forecast accuracy and use data to identify risks and scale best practices.
• Build relationships with key customers and executive stakeholders to shape opportunities.
• Drive new service agreement bookings, renewals, and lifecycle value selling.
• Partner with systems sales and service operations to increase service attachment.
• Coach Market General Managers and sales leaders through influence, not authority.
• Support onboarding, account planning, and performance inspections across markets.
• Collaborate with enablement to drive strategy adoption and execution.
