Job summary

Distalmotion is seeking a high-performing Area Sales Manager to drive adoption of the DEXTER robotic surgical system across a defined U.S. territory.

You will develop strategic relationships, identify opportunities, and expand utilization in ASCs, hospitals, IDNs, and academic centers. The role requires a track record in selling complex capital equipment or robotic platforms and a proven ability to navigate multi-stakeholder sales environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of medical device sales success with quota attainment.
• Experience selling capital equipment, surgical robotics, or complex healthcare solutions preferred.
• Experience navigating long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with ASCs, hospitals, IDNs, academic centers, and physician leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory business plan to achieve sales objectives.
• Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities within ASCs, hospitals, IDNs, academic centers, and VA facilities.
• Build relationships with surgeons, administrators, supply chain leaders, and executives.
• Lead full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Deliver compelling product presentations that show clinical and economic value.
• Maintain a robust pipeline and CRM records.
• Collaborate with Clinical, Marketing, Training, and Customer Success teams to ensure customer success.
• Attend regional and national conferences to drive awareness and demand.
• Drive utilization growth and customer satisfaction in the installed base.
