Job summary

Distalmotion is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive adoption of the DEXTER robotic surgical system across a defined U.S. territory, including North CA (north of Fresno) and Oregon.

You will develop strategic relationships, pursue new business opportunities, and expand usage across ASCs, hospitals, IDNs, and academic centers. The role requires proven success in selling complex capital equipment and leading multi-stakeholder deals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of medical device sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
• Experience selling capital equipment, surgical robotics, or related complex healthcare solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex healthcare sale cycles with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory business plan to achieve and exceed sales objectives.
• Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities within ASCs, hospitals, IDNs, academic medical centers, and VA facilities.
• Build relationships with surgeons, administrators, supply chain leaders, and executive stakeholders.
• Lead full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiations and closing.
• Deliver compelling presentations showing clinical and economic value of DEXTER robotic system.
• Maintain a robust pipeline and accurate CRM activity.
• Collaborate with Clinical, Marketing, Training, and Customer Success teams for successful launches.
• Cultivate key opinion leaders to support market adoption.
• Attend regional/national conferences and events to generate demand.
• Drive utilization growth and customer satisfaction within installed base.
