Job summary

Distalmotion is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive adoption of the DEXTER robotic system across a defined U.S. territory including North CA and Portland.

You will build strategic relationships with ASCs, hospitals, IDNs, and academic centers, leading the full sales cycle and delivering compelling clinical and economic value. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in medical device or robotic sales, excellent stakeholder management, and a track record of market development.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of medical device sales with quota attainment.
• Experience selling capital equipment or robotic platforms preferred.
• Experience with ASCs, hospitals, IDNs, and academic centers.
• Ability to navigate complex healthcare sales with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory business plan to meet sales targets.
• Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities in ASCs, hospitals, IDNs, and academic centers.
• Build relationships with surgeons, administrators, supply chain leaders, and executives.
• Lead full sales cycle: prospecting, demonstrations, evaluations, proposals, contracts, closing.
• Deliver presentations showcasing clinical and economic value of DEXTER system.
• Maintain robust pipeline and CRM activity accuracy.
• Collaborate with Clinical, Marketing, Training, and Customer Success teams.
• Cultivate KOLs to support market adoption.
• Attend conferences and events to raise awareness and demand.
• Drive usage growth and satisfaction within installed base.
• Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to strategy.
