Job summary

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits in Houston, Texas seeks an Area Manager to lead a team of sales consultants across a large market, nurturing customer relationships and delivering sales strategy with supplier program execution.

You will hire and develop staff, manage budgets, and align efforts with Proof Sales and field campaigns, while maintaining a focus on results and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus three years of experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of beverage alcohol products and SGWS portfolio.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage a team of sales consultants; evaluate performance against goals.
• Develop territory sales plans to achieve goals and objectives.
• Communicate territory plan in regular team meetings and campaigns.
• Coach consultants on pre-plans, visits, and opportunities to align with plan.
• Build a strong sales pipeline and drive product knowledge and customer satisfaction.
• Hire, develop, and discipline staff; manage budgets and expenditures.
