Job summary

Megger is seeking an Area Sales Manager for Cable Products to drive sales across the South Central USA, including TX, OK, AR, LA, MO, and KS. You will educate the outside sales team, provide technical support, and promote Megger’s cable fault location and diagnostic equipment to utilities and heavy industry.

You will manage time/territory with at least 50% travel, update the CRM, and report monthly on activities and pipeline progress to the North America Manager of Power Cable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or field support related to electrical test or power cable equipment.
• Strong knowledge of power cable systems and diagnostic methods (Cable Fault Location, VLF, Tan Delta, PD).
• Ability to conduct and explain technical product demonstrations in customer environments.
• Experience selling to electric utilities, independent power producers, or heavy industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate and train outside sales team to perform product demonstrations and develop sales opportunities.
• Provide technical support for cable fault location, testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Promote Megger equipment to electric utilities, IPPs, manufacturers, and service providers.
• Plan and manage time and territory to cover all sales areas effectively.
• Travel at least 50% to perform product tours and customer engagements.
• Maintain cable diagnostics equipment inventory and rotation with Regional Sales Manager.
• Manage expenses within Megger guidelines and report activities monthly.
• Maintain CRM data (SAP C4C) with sales contacts and calls.
• Contribute to pipeline development and coordinate with Regional/Inside/Field Sales.
