Qualifications

• Proficiency with Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel significantly.

Our client is an industry-leading semiconductor memory manufacturer specializing in DRAM and flash memory solutions for a wide range of applications. Their products are widely used across the automotive, industrial, consumer, and computing sectors. They are now seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead a sales team, grow key customer relationships, and expand market share across California

Responsibilities of an Area Sales Manager:

• Develop and execute the sales strategy for assigned markets, driving both existing and new business to hit individual and team targets.
• Lead and manage a team of Sales Reps, supporting them through the full sales cycle.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new distribution channels and new geographic or vertical markets.
• Manage the sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and lead tracking to close deals and uncover new design opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with customers and their executive management, acting as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to executive management on project updates, market insights, and strategic initiatives.
• Work closely with engineering, product, marketing, legal, and operations to align customer needs with product offerings.
• Lead contract negotiations and manage deal terms to maximize profitability.
• Analyze sales data and share feedback with senior leadership on market conditions, competitor activity, and customer trends.
• Monitor post-sale activity to ensure customer satisfaction and contract compliance.

Requirements for an Area Sales Manager:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
• 8+ years of sales experience in the semiconductor or related high-tech industries.
• Proven track record in sales management, strategic account management, and team leadership.
• Experience leading complex sales processes and closing large deals.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor products, manufacturing processes, and industry trends.
• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Willingness to travel significantly to meet customers and prospects.
