Job Description

What’s the role? Our Area Sales Manager is the face of the company to our dealers. The goal is to increase funded deals by partnering with suitable dealers. This role involves identifying, onboarding, and managing growth with dealers in their respective regions, using a consultative sales approach. Building strong relationships with dealers who understand how our program can help their business grow is key. This is a full-time remote position reporting to Regional Sales Managers, requiring candidates to be based in the US and comfortable working on the road.

What is it like being part of our External Sales Team? New hires receive training to ensure success. You will be part of a supportive team encouraging you to overcome sales barriers.

What you’ll do as our Area Sales Manager?

  1. Present and communicate company products and services to all levels of management within dealerships, in person.
  2. Identify sales prospects and contact these accounts.
  3. Follow-up on leads and referrals from telephone calls to dealers.
  4. Develop and grow current and potential dealer partnerships.
  5. Maintain effective communication with dealer partners about current programs.
  6. Train dealers on Western Funding processes, including documentation for fast funding.

Qualifications

We look for candidates with:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • High School diploma or equivalent (required)
  • College degree or relevant experience (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Automotive, Finance, and Sales
  • Experience in Financial Services or Car Dealerships
  • 1-2 years in a challenging sales role with success
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with warm calling, appointment setting, sales techniques
  • Adaptability to new technology
  • Results-oriented and able to work independently and in teams
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%
  • Valid driver’s license (driving is essential)

Compensation Plan

  • First-Year Salary Range: $54,000 - $125,000 (base + commissions)
  • Average after 1 year: $79,000
  • Top 10 average: $125,000
  • Unlimited earning potential through commissions
  • Monthly mileage reimbursement: ~$450
