Job summary

RIM Recruitment Professionals seeks an Area Sales Manager to lead hospice sales across the Memphis territory. This field-based role requires up to 70% travel, a bachelor’s degree, and a track record of growing patient census and managing a team of community liaisons.

You will develop sales strategies with program and regional leadership, coach field staff, monitor KPIs, and recruit new talent. The position offers a competitive comp package with base salary and sign-on bonus plus PTO and health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of healthcare sales or community liaison experience.
• 2+ years of management experience.
• Solid understanding of hospice regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of community liaisons and provide training and direction.
• Partner with Program Directors and Regional Sales Directors to develop and execute sales strategies.
• Monitor KPIs, visit frequency, and referral activity; report to leadership.
• Identify and hire talent for open and newly created liaison positions.
• Stay current on market trends and competitor activity to keep the region competitive.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a results-driven Area Sales Manager to lead hospice sales across the Memphis territory. You'll identify growth opportunities, shape sales strategy alongside program and regional leadership, and develop a high-performing team of community liaisons —all while making a meaningful impact in end-of-life care. This field-based role requires up to 70% travel within the assigned territory. Candidates should live within the territory or within reasonable driving distance.

What You'll Do

• Team Leadership Oversee the daily operations of community liaisons, equipping them with the training, tools, and direction needed to effectively engage target accounts and manage their books of business.
• Sales Strategy & Growth Partner with Program Directors and Regional Sales Directors to develop and execute portfolio and sales strategies that drive patient census growth across the region.
• Performance Tracking Monitor key sales metrics and KPIs —including visit frequency and referral activity —and generate regular reports to keep leadership informed and the team on track.
• Recruiting & Team Building Play an active role in identifying and hiring talent for open and newly created community liaison positions, building a team that consistently delivers results.
• Market Intelligence Stay current on market trends, competitor activity, and evolving best practices to ensure the region remains competitive and responsive to opportunities.

What You'll Need

• Education & Experience Bachelor's degree strongly preferred 4+ years of healthcare sales or community liaison experience, preferably in hospice 2+ years of management experience
• Knowledge & Skills Solid understanding of hospice regulations and compliance Proven track record of growing patient census at a local or regional level Strong coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Logistics Willingness and ability to travel at least 70% of the time within the assigned territory Valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation Must reside within the territory or within reasonable driving distance of Memphis
