Capital Electric in Tidewater, VA is seeking a dynamic Area Manager to guide the sales team in a competitive market. You will set targets, lead the sales force, and manage branch performance to meet customer needs and company goals.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical distribution leadership and 7+ years outside sales with contractor customers. Expect full P&L responsibility and frequent branch visits in a growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical distribution with multimillion-dollar sales leadership.
• 7+ years outside sales with experience selling to industrial/contractor customers preferred.
• Strong leadership to drive sales growth and profitability.
• Experience managing P&L and multiple branches is desired.
• Proficient computer literacy; MS Office; Eclipse a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the productivity of the sales force.
• Set expectations, monitor and evaluate sales performance.
• Motivate and mentor sales associates and develop sales team.
• Full territory P&L responsibility.
• Develop customer relationships; regular end user joint calls.
• Regular branch visitation.
• Manage district sales expense budgets.
• Oversee pricing strategy for customers.
• Assist Branch Managers with sales/operations in area branches; execute sales strategy and goals.
• Maintain and grow relationships with vendor partners.
