Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Area Safety Manager to drive loss prevention programs and safety training across the designated Area. Lead safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with HR and leadership to promote a safe working environment.

The role requires 5+ years in safety, a degree in Safety Management or equivalent, and a 40-hour OSHA course. Strong communication and reporting skills are essential in a fast-paced, field-based setting.

Qualifications

• Professional safety certification from NSC or equivalent.
• 40-hour OSHA compliance course completed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to Area leadership to promote safety training programs.
• Ensure loss prevention programs comply with OSHA/DOT and other regulations.
• Monitor and report on accident trends and safety metrics.
• Develop and deliver ongoing safety training materials.
