Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a BU Safety Manager to support multiple BUs, driving loss prevention programs and safety objectives across the Area. You will develop and implement safety policies, train leaders, and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and related regulations.

The role requires collaboration with HR and management to minimize time off due to injuries, manage return-to-work programs, and participate in investigations and inspections.

Qualifications

• Strong communication across levels and to external parties.
• Ability to write concise safety reports and correspondence.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and data management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to promote safety training programs.
• Ensure loss prevention programs comply with OSHA/DOT regulations.
• Monitor safety program implementation and follow up on performance gaps.
• Support return-to-work and investigations of incidents.
