Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, public relations, or a communication-related field.
• 7+ years of professional-level experience; total 11 years may be considered.
• Proven track record of effective people management with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and organizational development skills.
• Experience in developing, designing, and executing strategic communication plans.
• Active listener with ability to understand diverse audiences.
• Experience managing organizational brand, reputation, and media relations.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to leadership and teams.
• Experience with a wide variety of communication channels.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Crisis management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of managers and staff to unify area-level communications and publishing.
• Develop internal and external campaigns and establish strategic relationships with key leaders across the area.
• Oversee the area's annual publishing planning, budget forecasting, resource planning, and timelines.
• Coordinate with the Correlation Department to ensure doctrinal accuracy and IP review.
• Direct efforts to extend gospel messaging across channels while respecting doctrine and privacy.
• Oversee production operations across print, video, animation, broadcasting, photography, and web publishing.
• Manage contractors, vendors, and mixed workforce; monitor quality and contracts.
• Partner with HR to hire, evaluate, and promote staff within the reporting line.
