Job summary

OnTrac is hiring an Area Manager for our Dayton, NJ facility. This role oversees sort activities and volume within an assigned area, leading a team of Package Handlers and Lead Handlers to maintain safety and efficiency while identifying improvement opportunities.

The position requires 2+ years in logistics with leadership experience; strong data summarization and communication skills are essential. Competitive benefits and a focus on operational excellence are offered.

Qualifications

• GED/Diploma required; BA/BS in related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in logistics/3PL with at least 1 year leadership experience.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area.
• Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback and address performance/attendance.
• Conduct pre-sort meetings and communicate daily goals and safety priorities.
• Record and manage departures/arrivals and volume flow from designated Linehauls.
• Execute administrative duties including safety training, operational audits and end-of-shift reporting.
