Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates at a Memphis, TN site. You will drive safety, quality and on-time delivery while engaging staff across shifts and collaborating with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and HR to hit business goals.

You’ll manage performance, mentor the team, and operate in a dynamic environment that may include stairs, variable temperatures, and a loud setting. A valid US driver's license and flexible scheduling are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Do you currently hold a valid USA state driver’s license?
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance and HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk up to 12 hours on shift.
• Work in variable temperatures and weather conditions at delivery sites.
