Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in the United States (Georgia, Stone Mountain) to lead a team of hourly staff and ensure safety, quality, and delivery performance. You will engage the team during shifts, drive productivity, and collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA, and HR to meet business objectives.

The role requires 2+ years in people management, flexibility for weekends/nights/holidays, and a background in lean/process improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Flexible schedule/shift including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in variable temperatures and weather conditions at delivery stations.
