Job summary

Amazon is recruiting an Area Manager in the United States (Phoenix, AZ) to lead a team of hourly workers and ensure safety, quality, and performance. You will drive engagement during shifts and help meet customer delivery expectations, while coordinating with multiple support teams to achieve business objectives.

This role requires 1+ years in people/quality management, a flexible schedule, and the ability to move heavy loads.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance and HR to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
