Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in Hazel Park, MI to lead a team of hourly employees and maintain safety, quality, attendance, and performance across shifts.

The role involves collaboration with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention, and HR to meet business objectives, while handling physical tasks and variable schedules in a fast-paced environment. USA, MI location with base pay listed and RSU considerations.

Qualifications

• 2 years of employee and performance management experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as continuously climb and descend stairs
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts)
