Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly staff, ensuring safety, quality, attendance, and performance while meeting customer delivery promises. You will coordinate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA, and HR to implement plans that meet business objectives and support ongoing growth across new sites.

The role requires 2+ years in people management, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and flexibility across shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years Amazon experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Experience managing teams of 20+ people.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen).
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience in shipping/logistics distribution centers, manufacturing environments, hospitality, healthcare, retail, and customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for long periods in variable environments.
• Support environments with noise and temperature variations.
