Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates at our Phoenix fulfillment site. You will mentor staff, drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance, and ensure on-time customer delivery through efficient shift operations.

You will partner with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR to meet objectives; lifting up to 49 pounds, stairs, variable temperatures, and long shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with variable temperatures and noise.
• Climb and descend stairs where applicable.
