Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Area Manager in Mesa, AZ to lead a team of hourly employees and drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will engage the team during shifts to meet delivery promises and customer expectations across first/middle/last mile workflows.

Responsibilities include coaching, safety leadership, cross-team collaboration, and adjusting plans to meet objectives. Must be able to lift up to 49 lbs and work extended shifts in a dynamic, noisy environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with varying noise, temperatures and weather.
