Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in WA/Kent to lead a team of hourly workers, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will collaborate with safety, engineering, and HR to meet business goals and drive operational excellence.

You must have 2+ years of people management, a relevant degree, and be flexible for weekends/nights. Preference for 20+ employee management and lean/Kaizen/Six Sigma experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma).
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in variable temperatures and weather conditions at delivery stations.
