Job summary

Bell Bank Mortgage seeks a Branch/Area Manager to lead residential mortgage origination, processing, and closing efforts across the branch footprint. You will recruit, train and motivate loan officers and assistants to maximize production while ensuring compliance with regulatory and investor guidelines.

You will manage borrower disclosures, LE and MDIA requirements, and collaborate with processors, closers and sales staff to deliver exceptional service and grow market share.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• 6–8 years of mortgage banking experience.
• Supervisory experience with sales management.
• Active NMLS registration required.
• Ability to travel to branches and off-site meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manage branch and area activities in originating, processing and closing residential mortgage loans.
• Recruit and hire loan officers for the branch and area; motivate and train staff to achieve production targets.
• Gather information for documentation, analysis, disclosure and underwriting.
• Structure loans to comply with product guidelines and investor rules.
• Submit through DU/LP and review borrower findings for guidelines.
• Enter data into origination system and order appraisals.
• Solicit loan applications in line with procedures and timelines.
• Disclose to borrowers and provide Loan Estimates within guidelines.
• Provide data to processors and secure signed lock agreements.
• Review Closing Disclosures and prepare borrowers for closing.
• Maintain regular contact with agents, borrowers, processors and closers.
