Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking an Area Sales Manager II for Austin, a remote role focusing on residential mortgage loan origination. You will lead a team of Mortgage Loan Originators, develop referral networks, and drive production while managing risk and compliance.

You will recruit, coach, and onboard MLOs, build business plans, monitor KPIs, and partner with Fulfillment Operations to optimize volume. A results-driven leader with mortgage experience fits this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• 3–5 years residential mortgage sales experience.
• Knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines.
• Mortgage management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting and closing.

Responsibilities

• Develop referral source relationships with realtors, builders, and professionals.
• Recruit, hire and onboarding of new loan officers; coach and train MLOs.
• Develop a sales culture and drive production within the team.
• Monitor and manage production via KPIs and reporting.
• Ensure risk controls and compliance in all processes.
