JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Extension is hiring an Area Master Gardener Coordinator - Area C (South-Central Pennsylvania). This individual will work with Penn State Extension's Master Gardener Programs across Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Mifflin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, Schuylkill, and York counties, with statewide responsibilities as well.
The role involves regional leadership and coordination for the Master Gardener Program, collaborating with the State Master Gardener Coordinator, County Master Gardener Coordinators, MG volunteers, Extension Educators, faculty, and administrators. Responsibilities include supervising county coordinators, growing the program through training and communication, and developing funding sources including grants and contracts.
This position offers hybrid work arrangements; the base office must be within the geographic area served.
PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS: A master's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience in horticulture, entomology, plant pathology, or related fields, including 3+ years of supervisory experience. Experience in volunteer management, leadership development, community partnerships, and strong communication skills are required. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required, with regular travel expected.

The salary range for this position is $68,200.00 - $102,300.00.
